OCC Shoe Box Packing Party Schedule:

Operation Christmas Child is a program that NetWork supports. The mission is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Each year our goal is to exceed the number of shoeboxes we’ve donated. To help meet our goals we have devised a plan that would allow us to efficiently collect the necessary items that would benefit the needy children and not be much of a burden come November. Every month the plan is to collect items until November.

Below are the items that were suggested:

  •  December – Small Toys ( Include items that children will immediately embrace such as dolls, toy cars, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries), etc.)
  • January – jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)
  • February – Sunglasses, Baseball Hats
  • March – Washcloths and Soap (in individual plastic baggies)
  • April – Combs, Brushes, Hair Accessories
  • May – Socks, T-Shirts or other Clothes
  • June – Crayons, Coloring and Picture Books,  Markers
  • July – Pens, Pencils and Sharpeners
  • August –  Notebooks, Paper, Solar Calculator
  • September – Toothbrushes and Toothpastes
  • October – Hard Candy, Gum
  • November – Shoeboxes

Help cover shipping and other costs related to delivering your shoeboxes to children overseas by donating $7 for each gift you prepare.

Do Not Include: Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
