Build
Relationships – We believe in relational evangelism over a more
impersonal approach (handing out a tract/bible or attending a big
crusade). We believe that people will have an open heart towards a
friend than from a stranger. The love we have for people is what
will attract them to the gospel message. The most significant life
changing stories of the Bible are found when Jesus engaged with
people on a one-on-one approach.
-
Talk about our
beliefs – Once a relationship is established, we can now verbally
share our beliefs. It’s not enough to love people, they need to hear
why we are the way we are. Jesus taught and preached the message of
God’s kingdom wherever he went. Our Evangelism course will train
people to share their beliefs through the building of relationships.
The goal is to get everyone trained to be a “Contagious Christian.”
-
Connect people
into a small group – We believe that the Christian life is enhanced
when believers share their Christian journey with other believers
and this best happens within a small group of about 10-12 believers.
Jesus had his small group of 12 disciples. This is where church life
really happens. It’s in small groups that people connect and
practice their gifts in building the body of Christ.
-
Serve in the
church community – Every believer is given spiritual gifts and
talents that is to be used for the common good of God’s church. We
are a church community when we:
Worship together, relate together
using our talents and spiritual gifts, study God’s word together for
the purpose of growing spiritually and finding our place of service.
Our training course on finding your place of service (Network Class)
directs the right people to plug into the right places of ministry
for the right reasons.
-
Educate them
through discipleship classes – We also believe that believers need
to be educated about our biblical doctrines (Foundations Class) and
practices. We conduct training classes after worship services on
Sunday. We hope to offer courses within the week in the near future
and integrate some of our discipleship classes into our small group
meetings.
-
Draw crowds
through special events – As Jesus attracted the masses of people, we
believe in intentionally organizing events like: concerts and
crusades to create a movement among believers to reach out in a
larger scale to the non-churched community.
-
Support the
church financially – We believe that we are stewards of God’s
church. One way we express that is by supporting the church
financially through our tithes and offerings.
